Principal Investigator

Dr. Nathan Anderson is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology and the Neuroscience Center at Brigham Young University. He has undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Human Biology from Michigan State University. He earned his Masters and PhD in Psychological and Brain Science from Washington University in St. Louis, after which he completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Neurology Department at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.

He is interested in how the brain allows us to create complex mental representations, whether as memories or imagined scenes. He uses both introspective behavioral methods and dense-sampling fMRI to assess the brain networks that support these cognitive processes.
